Sydney cruising

Hi from Sydney! We have made it to our second major stop of the trip and are having a blast. Since I last updated this I have been up to a lot!
We arrived back in Melbourne to the st. kilda music festival on the beach! Next we took off to the great ocean road for three days. We took surfing lessons, played in the waves, had sun and sand! We also saw a ton of locals- koolas, kangroos, cockatoos, enchidlas, kookobarras and many other colourful birds. we made a stop @ the 12 apostles and marvelled at their beauty. We took in the night market in melbourne and spent our last day in Victoria tasting wine in the Yarra Valley.
We arrived in Sydney a few days ago. Our first full day, we took a bus tour of the blue mountains and did a cave walk @ Jenolong caves. It was really amazing.
Today we did a Sydney habour cruise and checked out the oldest part of the city - the Rocks. Tomoorow we tour the Opera house and go to see a play. Chris and I are also hoping to do the Sydney bridge walk and go see Port Stephen. Hope you are doing well! We can't believe the trip is half over.

Tassie!!

hi from Tasmania. We have spent the three days trvelling round, driving on the otherside of the round and seeing many beautiful beaches and lush scenery. we stayed in st.helens and took in the Bay of Fires and St. Columbia falls, the tallest here. I have been eating as much seafood as possible! Yesterday we drove to port arthur and saw devil tasmanian devils upclose and personal! It was a great three days, I was I could stay and do more hiking. pictures will follow later when I have a better connection.

Melbourne

Well we survived the trip through LA... made it to Santa Monica pier for an afternoon in the sun. we ate delicious mexican and rode the ferris wheel.

The flight from LA to Melbourne was a long haul. We flew on a new A380 it was huge although we still were jamed in like sardins!

We arrived thirty minutes early to the craziest custom checks I have ever been through. Once we got through customs we got in a taxi and drove to st.kilda. The first afternoon we spent walking the main drag in st.kilda and exploring the beach.

The first full day in Melbourne we went out for a big breakfast and had a little beach day. It was 34 C. We spent the evening in downtown Melbourne for dim sum and the hungout at a bar along the Yarra River.

Today we took a drive to the pennisula and mornington area.  We stopped for pies for lunch and then headed to the beach.  The beach was awesome, facing the ocean we swam in water that came from Antarctica. Yes it was chilly! The water was very blue and the wave jumping was tons if fun.  After the beach we toured three wineries. Tonight we are having a fondue and going to see the peguins! Hope everyone is doing well. Catch you later.
